When will the weather turn into summer?

What's with the year of rain? As a rookie gardener, trying to grow my own food, I have to have some weather cooperation!  I am definitely discouraged, as very little is growing.

He returned with an armful of food:  buns, mayo, sandwich meat, and cheese.  The other three promptly replied with enthusiasm that the curry dish was like a soup and SHOULD be served with sandwiches.

Rhubarb PieServes 6
2 eggs
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons flour
¼ teaspoon salt
1 ¼ cups white sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon
4 cups rhubarb, sliced into ¼” pieces
store-bought pie shells

When purchasing asparagus look for straight stalks with compact pointed tips.  They should be no thicker than a fat crayon.  Before cooking snap off the inch of woody white fiber at the base.

2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1/3 cup canola oil
2 teaspoons sesame seed oil
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds.

﻿ Yesterday I was running late, too many things to do before going to work. Then there was the dog to walk. A enthusiastic Vizsla who needs a one hour walk before 9am or else the house gets turned into a jungle gym. I was resentful of this daily duty because it interfered with all the important things I had to do.
